Kafka on the Shore

Haruki Murakami

It flows much like a dream and when Murakami is not writing a fetish laden scene, it is such a mysterious little book. Much of it is very enjoyable, but then is soured by Murakami’s weird substories that I feel are extremely out of place, and weird at times. For this at least, the score suffers a major hit, because the subplot takes up quite a lot of the book.
